About Murder Mystery 2:
Liked the horror fixed camera angles. was interested in the story of the killer. kinda wanted to know a bit more on the kid that escaped. found the voice acting funny (although I don’t know if that was their intention). my first playthrough lasted 2 hrs and 20 minutes and my second was an hour. the game may be short but with the tension of knowing that the Easter Ripper could come out of nowhere and attack kept me on edge the entire game and made it seem possible. good game I recommend. A genuinely fun and creepy little indie game with a rather grim story you wouldn’t see bigger studios be ok with making. My only complaint is that the camera is rather janky at times, yes I am aware it is supposed to be like older games such as the classic RE titles, alone in the dark, or silent hill but having played those games the camera is not as rough and in a few instances it would become so unwieldy that I believe that was an error on the game’s part. Though this was far and few between and for the most part the camera is rough, but tolerable. Excellent homage to the earlier era of horror video games. I’m honestly not a fan of tank controls but for some reason this just worked for me, complemented beautifully by its VHS aesthetic and disturbing, synth soundtrack. Absolutely loved it. My one and only gripe is that the Bookworm achievement seems to be bugged, as I’ve been unable to get it to pop despite reading all of the notes and posters multiple times. But other than the achievement bug, Murder House is utterly outstanding. A must-play for horror fans.
